Electric Horse, a unique horse sanctuary and shopping experience
Electric Horse, where we aren't just a sanctuary for horses, but truly a home for them.

Electric Horse, where we aren't just a sanctuary for horses, but truly a home for them.

At Electric Horse, we curate exceptional antiques, handcrafted goods, and vintage fashion to fuel a higher purpose.
Our goal is to create a fully self-sustainable sanctuary dedicated to senior, blind, and abused horses.
By transforming forgotten treasures into new opportunities, we provide a lifetime of safety and dignity to horses that would otherwise face the slaughter pipeline—giving them the chance to truly just be horses.
We believe that everything, and everyone, deserves a second jolt of life.
In 2018, at fifty years old, I was a lost soul. I was carrying a sorrow that couldn’t be put into words—navigating rare terminal diagnoses, the heartbreak of a kidnapped grandson, my son’s battle with cancer and loosing two of the most important people in my life, I wasn't living; I was merely existing.
Desperate to find center, I let go of my home, bought a 32ft RV, and set out to photograph the country. I thought the only thing that could save me was life behind the lens.
My first stop was a horse farm in Dahlonega, Georgia. I planned to stay a month, but a horse named Blazer blazed into my life and forever changed my path. You see him here in the black-and-white photo.
He was starving, nothing more than skin and bones, yet this proud, fiery animal decided I was his person. He decided he was going to save me.
Every day, he waited at the gate. When I went into the pasture to work, he would shove the others aside to demand I notice him. I was focused on my prognosis and "figuring out my death," but Blazer had other plans. He amped up his rescue mission, and it worked.
This 27-year-old, broken-down horse was a jolt of electricity to my flailing heart. Then came Goldie, a little Arabian princess also facing starvation. Her spirit was the final surge I needed to get life and passion pumping through my soul again.
Because of my own heart journey—and the way electricity is used to restart a failing heart—Electric Horse was born. It is named in honor of them: the true heroes. Because of Blazer and Goldie, I am dedicated to ensuring these magnificent, healing, life-altering beings are safe and loved long after I am gone.
Founded in love, and continuing a legacy of strength.
